Since 2001, Richard Romano has been a member of Toastmasters International, an educational organization that helps develop communication and leadership skills, with a focus on public speaking.

He has been a featured public speaker at various graphic arts industry seminars and conventions, including the HOW Design Conference, Print, Graph Expo, Macworld, Graphics of the Americas, the On-Demand Conference & Expo, and more. His areas of expertise include media and marketing trends, graphic communications, science, and technology.

He has also done stand-up comedy at local venues and at various events. In October 2008, he won the Toastmasters District 53 Humorous Speech Contest.

If you would like him to speak to your group or company, he can be contacted in a variety of ways here.

At the Ipex show in May 2010, RR and rank Romano were invited by Xerox to conduct a series of mock debates in the Xerox stand on paper vs. pixels—that is, print vs. electronic media. A heavily (and not unbiased) edited video was posted on WhatTheyThink. Unedited footage can be seen by clicking here.
